Happy World Habitat day 2021

World Habitat Day

“Without our habitat there is no wildlife. So, protect and save our habitat, our home on this day.”

This day is observed on the first Monday of October. The aim of this day is to reflect on the basis of the right of all pedicures at shelter and also to make a reminder that it is in our hand how we make the future of our cities and towns.

This day is to realize that now many citizens who belong from rural areas move to cities for better life but they should develop their area. the people who are successful and getting jobs which in turn create more employment opportunities because of increase in population poverty level increases and Employment is decreasing.

“Nature is the mother and the habitat of man, even if sometimes a stepmother and an unfriendly home.”

HUMAN HABITAT

Habitat is the natural home or place where living organisms live and survive and complete their needs.

Human habitats are the places where they can survive and complete their needs of living, such as shelter, food, water, etc.  Humans can survive and find their needs everywhere in this world. Human habitats like cities are very crowded.

Humans want the habitats where they can get oxygen, water, food and shelter.

“There would be very little point in exhausting myself and other conservationists themselves in trying to protect animals and habitats if we weren’t at the same time raising young people to be better stewards.”

TYPES OF HABITAT

There are five major types of habitat. We have written those below.

  1. Aquatic Habitat.
  2. Desert Habitat.
  3. Forest Habitat.
  4. Grassland Habitat.
  5. Tundra Habitat.

AQUATIC HABITAT:

the seas and oceans, lakes and rivers, wetlands and marshes, and lagoons and swamps  are included in the aquatic habitat. Animals, from amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates to mammals and birds live in the aquatic habitat. We can find mussels and snails along with kelp and algae in the aquatic habitat.

DESERT HABITAT:

Living in the desert habitat is not impossible but it is a bit more difficult than the other habitats. Deserts are the sun-baked lands that experience high daytime temperatures. Deserts are semi-arid habitats that are dominated by scrub vegetation such as grasses, shrubs, and herbs. Agricultural productivity is impossible in desert areas.

FOREST HABITAT:

Forest habitats are dominated by the trees. Forest area extends about one-third of the world’s land surface. It is found in many regions of the world. Forest are of differents types such as

  • Temperate
  •  Tropical
  •  Cloud
  •  Coniferous
  •  Boreal

GRASSLAND HABITAT:

Grasslands have mostly grasses and few trees and shrubs. tropical grasslands and temperate grasslands are two main types of grasslands. There are few hooved animals in this habitat. Grasslands experience dry and rainy seasons.

TUNDRA HABITAT:

This is the cold habitat. This habitat has low temperatures, short vegetation, long winters, brief growing seasons, and limited drainage. This habitat is any rock or soil that stays frozen year-round and it can be unstable ground when it does thaw.

“At the end of the day, my natural habitat is in a car and I am happiest in that environment.”

ANIMALS OF AQUATIC HABITATS

There are many animals who live in the seas and oceans. Such as

  1. Blue whale.
  2. Fin whale.
  3. Whale shark.
  4. Sperm whale.
  5. Giant Manta Rays.
  6. Great White Shark.
  7. Giant Pacific Octopus.

BLUE WHALE:

Blue Whale is the biggest animal on earth known to man on both land and sea.  its tongue alone weighs 4 tons.

FIN WHALE:

Fin Whale is actually the second largest animal on the planet. It can swim up to 23 mph. It eats primarily crustaceans, krill, squid, and fish.

WHALE SHARK:

It has a length of roughly 65 feet and a whopping 75,000 pounds. It is a filter feeder.

SPERM WHALE:

It grows upwards of 80 feet in length. These whales have teeth as opposed to bristles.

GIANT MANTA RAYS:

This is the world’s largest Ray species. This is about four-and-a-half times wide as Michael Jordan is tall.

GREAT WHITE SHARK:

It is an apex predator. It can run three times the size of the average human male.

GIANT PACIFIC OCTOPUS:

It is spread about 32 feet and it’s weight is over 600 pounds. Giant octopus lives longer than any other octopus species in the world.

“So much of the habitat destruction and pollution is based on the simple principle that we somehow have been given free license over other species to degrade the planet.”

DESERT ANIMALS

  1. Addax
  2. Antelope Jackrabbit
  3. Camel Spiders
  4. Deathstalker Scorpion
  5. Desert Tortoise

ADDAX:

Its scientific name is Addax nasomaculatus. It is found in the Sahara Desert. It has a Mammal, Even-toed ungulate as an animal.

ANTELOPE JACKRABBIT:

Its scientific name is Lepus alleni. These are mostly found in Sonoran Desert, Arizona & Northern Mexico. large size, very long, pointed ears, white / gray sides, white underparts, buff neck and chest, and black / buff back, are the ways to realize them.

CAMEL SPIDERS:

It is found mostly in Syrian Desert. They are also known as wind scorpions, sun spiders and solifugae. They are 15 cm in length.

DEATH STALKER SCORPION:

It’s scientific name is Leiurus quinquestriatus. It is mostly found in the Sahara Desert, Arabian Desert. It is around 6 cm in length.

DESERT TORTOISE:

It’s scientific name is Gopherus agassizii. It is mostly found in the Mojave Desert. It is a Vulnerable animal. They are mostly hidden in rock shelters.

“Just like a fish cannot survive without water, we humans cannot survive without a healthy habitat.”

This world habitat day we wish you and your family to have a healthy habitat.
