National Engineers Day 2021 – 15 September 2021
“Work performed with higher knowledge or skill, capacity or ambition, usually brings a correspondingly higher reward.”
This day is observed on 15th September. Every year this day is celebrated to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya ( he has received Bharat Ratna Award ). He has done BA from Madras and later he installed an irrigation system with water floodgates at the Khadakvasla reservoir near Pune to raise the food supply level and storage to the maximum level.
On this day many cultural and educational programmes and events are organised by different engineering colleges to appreciate the importance and contribution of engineers in our society. This day also emphasizes the importance of learning Maths , Science and technical skills.
